There is much debate about the origin of the Chihuahua – and I honestly know nothing difinitive regarding the matter. What I do know is that Chihuahuas are extremely amendable to life on a ranch! I’m quite sure they think they’ve fallen down a rabbit hole into a magical world of puppy dreams full of small vermin to chase, stinky things to roll around in and even the occasional hoof trimming delicacy.
Suffice it to say they get around out here just as well as the “big” dogs with few special accommodations. Heck, they even get a drink from the trough – though it can be a skosh precarious.
I’m working on some more in depth articles for the blog, I promise! But, as the saying goes, you just can’t pass this $h!t up.
Well, I get tired of reading “debth” only articles so love this one. The Chihuahua is darling! We have an old cement tank like that one, but am going to work it over this summer as it is leaking! I love it. I considered making it my swimming tank!!!

They are extremely entertaining! We have big steel tanks that are definitely big enough to swim in, but they’re kinda gross & home to gold fish!
